Florida runner mistakes snake for tree branch

A Florida resident was running at Robinson Preserve Park, in Bradenton, when they thought they saw a fallen tree branch.

After a second look, the runner discovered the branch was actually a boa constrictor and notified park officials.

The officials called Wildlife Inc., which sent two workers to capture the 100-pound red-tailed boa.

The snake’s demeanor indicated that it may have been a pet that was released by its owner or escaped.
